New things on the horizon.

As many of you know, I have been looking for a job in the city.  I already have a job in A-town, but other than that job, there is nothing there for me.  I am single and have no kids, and I don't even live in A-town anymore.  I ultimately wanted to move to OKC because that's where a lot of my friends my age are, and I loved living there when I was a freshman in college.

I have had so many great learning experiences when I was in A-town, and was very lucky to get a critical care job coming right out of college.  However, "to everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under the sun"...

I had 2 interviews the other day, both were at the same hospital.  On my way to those interviews, I got a call from the hospital that I really wanted for an interview.  For some reason, I had brought extra resumes so I just scheduled the interview for that day.

3 interviews in one day = EXHAUSTING.

When I went to my third and final interview, I had a great feeling and knew this is where I wanted to be.
I was hired on the spot and now I am looking forward to moving & starting a new direction in my career.

I will miss all my wonderful friends I made in A-town, and I am so blessed because I had such a great opportunity to learn a lot of things in the unit.

I am so excited about this new adventure in my life.  Really excited!

Done. Finished. Complete.

With some thought and consideration, I have decided I am done with the P90x program for now.

Here are the reasons:
1. I busted my rear for 60 days and I have lost hardly any inches, my clothes don't fit any better, and if I'm not following the exact diet, I'm not going to see the results I want.
2. If I'm going to exercise and hate what I'm doing (except a few DVDs I did like), I don't see the point in doing something I hate/dread so much.
3. I gained muscle, but I'm not getting much cardio. I NEED cardio.  I run/jog and love it...
4. I have a right shoulder issue from lifting a very heavy person and P90x aggravated it I think.

So I am sort of a flake.

I got my Insanity in the mail yesterday, but my chiropractor said that I need to get my shoulder in line before I start that.  I will be jogging until then I guess.

Week 8 P90X

P90X Week 8
I never follow the  rest week exactly, mainly because I hate Yoga X.  Instead of Yoga X, I jogged for 30 minutes.  I also did the Kenpo X, Core Synergistics, and I did some Cardio X.
Here are my stats for Day 60… this is from the day 30, so this doesn’t include the inches I lost from day 30
AFTER 60 DAYS of P90X
Weight: -1.2 lbs
Waist: 0
Hip. 0
Lt. Arm 0
Rt. Arm. 0
Bust:  0
Rt Leg:  0
Lt. Leg: 0
Total inches lost from day 30 to day 60: ZEROOOO.
Total inches lost in 60 days: 6.25 inches.

Yep.  Your eyes aren’t deceiving you.  I have lost 0 inches in 30 days.  Nothing. Zilch.  I did lose weight however.  My before and after pictures I can really only tell a difference in my face and my side picture.
Honestly, I am so ready to start Insanity.  I can only watch so much of Dreya Webber bouncing around doing arm shakes and Tony Horton making corny jokes. I have 30 more days to go… only 30 sweet more days and then I’m done.  Maybe I’d have a more positive attitude towards it if I lost more weight, which is my own dang fault for not following the diet plan.   People such as Faith's husband, Britton, followed the diet plan with it and lost a lot of weight.  Oh well, if I decide to do P90x Round 2, I will be sure and do that.    That doesn’t look like it’s going to be anytime soon.

Week 7 P90X

I took a week off.  I know you aren’t supposed to, but since when did I start following this plan exactly?  I was feeling really run down, I had officially slept 8 days in a row… working 1 day on, 1 day off, 2 days on, 1 day off, 1 day on, 2 days off, 1 day on.  Try to imagine…. It was really hard on me.  I went back to it though, with hardly any trouble getting into the swing of things.
Since I write down how much I do on the strengthening sessions, I’m just going to write down some things I’ve improved on in the three weeks that I’ve been doing this second rotation.

Day 43// Chest, Shoulders & Triceps:
*Slow motion 3 -1 push ups:  12 (knees) ---- 3 (toes) 11 (knees)
*Floor flys:                          12 (knees)  --- 3 (toes) 15 (knees)
*Side to Side Push ups:    6 (knees) -----  13 (knees)
*Chair Dips:                           12           ------     15

Day 44// YogaX:
Today is supposed to be plyometrics, but I switched it.  Mainly because I wanted to get it over with, but also because I wanted to run outside.  It was a beautiful day and I couldn’t pass up being outside.  The last time I did YogaX and ran outside, it was an easier run because I was stretched so well.  I ended up doing about 25 minutes of Yoga and then about 15 minutes of running.  I know I’m not doing the program justice by not doing the yoga, but I don’t care.  I HATE Yoga X.  I hate it. Hate it.  Hate it.  I’m not doing more than I have to.  I don’t see the point in doing an hour and a half of yoga when the entire time you are cussing the program and not getting any good out of it because you’re so mad you have to do it in the first place.

Day 45//Back & Biceps (&Ab RipperX)
I’m at the half way point!!  Woot Woot!
*Static Arm Curls                  16 (5lbs) ------ 16 (8lbs)
*Lawnmowers                       15 (5lbs) ------ 14 (8lbs)
*Switch Grip Pullups     6 (w/chair)------- 8 (w/chair)
*Congdon Locomotives      40 (5lbs)----- 40 (8lbs)

And before you say anything about my weights, I am doing more reps with lighter weights.  I just recently upped my weights to 8 lbs, and it’s a lot harder for me.

Day 46//Plyometrics –
For some reason it really burned my lungs today.  I finished all of it though, but it wasn’t without me dying.

Day 47// Legs & Back –
I was running late for work, so I only did 30 minutes of it, and then I did some sit ups to make up for not doing Ab Ripper X.  Here are some improvements I’ve made.
*Balance lunges                                     14  ----------  22
*Reverse grip chin ups         6 (w/chair) ---------- 9 (w/chair)
*Super skaters                                     18 -------------- 25
*Wide front pull ups            7 (w/chair) -----------  10 (w/chair)

Day 48// Kenpo X –
I finished it, it was okay...  that’s all I’m going to say.

Day 49// Rest day
